Day to day the network technology advancements are increasing and one can choose their career opportunity based on different interest of choice. The required key skills can be gained through different sources by building the right way 

Strictly recommended:

  • Learn about networking who already has experience in that particular field. Never workout a self plan of reading books that you come across on networking. You can find number of resources through many social websites & professional working community groups to monitor.

Never Forget:

  • Don’t depend on personal methods of finding jobs through websites or personal contacts.
  • Find group of people or people that can educate about the platform that you re looking for. Know about the people who are high enough in the career ladder than yourself - they can suggest you the right path in your way.

Skills required for a Network Engineer:

The regular job responsibilities of a network engineer is becoming a fluid over time. Once its was relatively a static role for managing packets from A to B positions between the networks, servers and storage networks & infrastructures. So, a network engineer should posses a broad knowledge in order to align to reach the business goals through networking.

Network engineers sit at the heart of the infrastructure, and need to understand in depth analysis of the applications & data flow across the network.

Application Flows:

Earlier network engineers focused on their security efforts at the network edge. They have a bright understanding of firewalls. IoT:

IoT is a big headache to network engineers as they need to size and scale their wired networks in order to hold thousands of IoT sensors. And be ready to provide and set policy for IoT connection and data security.

Redundant tasks like scripting & automation that are related to other parts of IT department are insulated to network engineers.
