SQL database is especially for online data transaction processing. It deals with lots of short transactions like inserting, deleting and updating multiple processes |
SQL data warehouse is especially for online analytical processing for data warehouse |
Storage size of SQL database is 4tb and in the near future, it will be around 10TB |
Sql data warehouse storage is very less compared to azure sql database it’s just 1pb |
Max concurrent queries it can take is 6400 |
Max concurrent open queries it can take is 1024 |
SQL DB supports in-memory OLTP. |
SQL DW is OLAP and doesn’t support it. |
