                                Oracle Database Administration Overview

The Oracle Database is the software to maintain the data coming from all sources in a clean, secured and efficient manner.

Oracle database is an object relational database management system (RDBMS). Database Administrator plays key role in efficiently administrating the databases. Database administrators (DBAs) use specialized software to store and organize data. Each database requires at least one database administrator (DBA) to administer it. Because an Oracle database system can be large and can have many users, often this is not a one person job. In such cases, there is a group of DBAs who share responsibility.

The Major responsibilities of Oracle DBA is to perform the capacity planning, installation, configuration, design of database, migration, performance monitoring, security, troubleshooting, as well as backup and data recovery for creating and maintaining all databases. DBA also uses the SQL commands to invoke the capabilities and also to retrieve the information.

Database Administrators (DBAs) are responsible for the design, implementation, support and maintenance of computerized databases in today’s organizations. The role also includes architecting, building and scaling databases for future data growth and capacity. They are also responsible for security, performance and availability of data to users and customers.
