How Does A Data Architect/scientist Contribute To The Internet Of Things?

IoT are the internet-connected machines embedded with sensors that are used to store data. For eg, A light bulb that can be controlled by a smartphone app or fitness band is counted as an IoT device.  The data stored by these sensors are in raw form and encoded state. This data can be extracted and interpreted by the data scientists/architects with the help of tools and methods from statistics and machine learning. Therefore, we can say that Data Scientists/Architects are the key to reaping benefits in IoT.
