Collibra certifications help you demonstrate your readiness to apply your expertise to successfully implement the Collibra platform. They also advance your career opportunities and chances of clearing job interviews.
Five progressive stages from Collibra University foundations to the elite Collibra Ranger, with 2026 India (LPA) and USA (USD) salary bands. Collibra's five official role-based certifications are Data Steward, Workflow Developer, Data Quality Steward, Solution Architect and Collibra Ranger, delivered through Collibra University to customers, partners and employees. Ranger requires both the Data Steward and Solution Architect certifications plus 2-3 years of hands-on implementation experience. Collibra does not publish certification exam fees publicly.
Learn data-governance fundamentals and the Collibra Operating Model - communities, domains, assets, relations, the Business Glossary and Data Catalog - through Collibra University's free self-paced courses. No prior experience or Collibra licence required.
Collibra's foundational role-based certification and the first of two Ranger prerequisites. Document, review and certify assets, run stewardship workflows, assign responsibilities and permissions, and interpret data-quality and articulation scores across the Business Glossary and Data Catalog.
Two parallel technical credentials. Workflow Developer (renamed from Workflow Engineer) covers BPMN 2.0 modelling, Groovy scripting and the Collibra Java API; Data Quality Steward covers Collibra Data Quality & Observability rules, scoring and remediation. Neither is a Ranger prerequisite.
Collibra's senior credential and the second Ranger prerequisite. Design the operating model and metamodel from scratch, plan integrations and end-to-end lineage, set security and permission standards, and own platform architecture decisions and their downstream impact.
Collibra's top credential - not a multiple-choice exam. Candidates get a blank Collibra environment and a real scenario to deliver end to end, with a one-month submission window and typically 40-60 hours of work, reviewed by Collibra. Requires Data Steward and Solution Architect certifications plus 2-3 years of implementation experience.
