Five stages from integration fundamentals to enterprise Boomi architect, with typical India (LPA) and USA (USD) salary ranges for 2026. It is no longer "Dell Boomi" — Francisco Partners and TPG acquired the business from Dell in 2021, and the product is now the Boomi Enterprise Platform. Every self-paced course and certification exam on Boomi's training portal is free, and exams are open-book, open-platform and untimed. Only the optional virtual instructor-led classes are paid.
Start with iPaaS fundamentals — REST and SOAP, JSON, XML and flat files — then Boomi's free Getting Started and Integration Essentials courses. Learn the Enterprise Platform layout, connectors, profiles and maps, and Runtimes (Atoms, Molecules, Clouds), and build and deploy your first process. No exam at this stage and no coding background needed.
The entry credential, and MindMajix's first target. Build real processes: document flow, branch, decision and route logic, process properties, error handling, scheduling and deployment. Prepare with the free Integration Developer Path. The exam is free, open-book, open-platform and untimed — a general-knowledge section plus a hands-on practical.
The core professional credential. Move to advanced design — reusable components, dynamic connections, branch and merge, caching, event-based web services, API-led patterns and CI/CD. Also free and open-book. Optional paid live classes (Integration 2, Integration 3) add instructor-guided lab practice but are not required to sit the exam.
Widen beyond integration. Add free role certifications in API Design and API Management, Data Hub (Associate and Professional), EDI for X12, Event Streams, Flow and Administration, then Agentstudio and Agent Control Tower for building and governing AI agents. This breadth is what lifts pay from developer to platform specialist.
Own enterprise integration design. Two free architect exams exist — Associate Integration Architect and Associate Runtime Architect — covering runtime foundations, performance tuning, build-to-scale, containers, Elastic Cloud, disaster recovery, OpenTelemetry observability and integration security. Typically 8+ years across integration and enterprise applications.
Outcome: an honest path from integration beginner to Boomi architect, covering the current Boomi credentials — Associate and Professional Integration Developer, the API Design, API Management, Data Hub, EDI for X12, Event Streams, Flow and Administrator certifications, and the Associate Integration Architect and Associate Runtime Architect exams.
