Microsoft Intune skills are certified mainly through Exam MD-102: Endpoint Administrator, which earns the Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate credential; broader Microsoft 365 administration is validated by Exam MS-102 (Administrator Expert) and identity by SC-300. There is no separate ‘Intune Architect’ exam — the senior-engineer and architect stages are experience-based career milestones, not certifications.
Build the groundwork for an endpoint-management career. Learn Windows 10/11 client fundamentals, Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) basics, and how cloud device management works — MDM vs MAM, device enrollment, compliance, and Conditional Access — plus first steps in the Microsoft Intune admin center. Understand where Intune fits alongside Configuration Manager (co-management). No prior Intune experience needed.
The core Microsoft Intune certification — and the track the MindMajix programme prepares you for. Exam MD-102 validates day-to-day endpoint administration on Intune: deploying Windows clients with Windows Autopilot, managing device configuration and compliance policies, app deployment and app protection (MAM), Conditional Access, and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint integration. Passing MD-102 earns the Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate credential (700/1000 to pass; valid one year with free online renewal).
Broaden from device management to running the wider Microsoft 365 workplace. Exam MS-102 covers tenant administration, Microsoft Entra identity and access, and security/threat management with Microsoft Defender and Purview — and, combined with an associate credential such as MD-102, earns the Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert title. Add SC-300 (Identity and Access Administrator Associate) to master Entra ID, Conditional Access, and identity governance. This is the widely expected ‘Modern Work + Security’ stack.
Move beyond certification into production engineering. Design and run endpoint estates at scale: Windows Autopilot and Autopatch, application packaging and deployment (Win32 / PowerShell), settings-catalog baselines, cross-platform management (macOS, iOS, Android), Configuration Manager–Intune co-management and migration, and PowerShell / Microsoft Graph automation and reporting. Integrate with Defender for Endpoint and Zero-Trust device compliance. Experience-based milestone — no single official exam.
Own enterprise endpoint and modern-workplace strategy. Architect large-scale device-management and Zero-Trust designs across Windows, macOS and mobile fleets; set governance, security baselines and compliance standards; lead Configuration Manager–to–Intune cloud migrations; and shape end-user computing (EUC), Windows 365 / Azure Virtual Desktop, and unified endpoint roadmaps. A senior role typically requiring 8+ years across endpoint, identity and security. Experience-based milestone — no official exam.
