Learn core IAM and IGA concepts — authentication, authorization, the joiner-mover-leaver lifecycle, RBAC and segregation-of-duties (SoD) — alongside Active Directory / LDAP, a working grasp of Java / BeanShell, and where SailPoint's two platforms fit: on-premise IdentityIQ and the cloud-based Identity Security Cloud (ISC). The free Identity Security Leader credential is a useful first milestone. No prior SailPoint experience needed.
Step into hands-on administration. This entry certification validates day-to-day platform skills: onboarding sources and applications, configuring identity profiles and account correlation, running access certifications, and building basic workflows. Two routes exist — the cloud-focused SailPoint Certified Identity Security Administrator (ISC) or the on-premise SailPoint Certified IdentityIQ Associate.
