Conformed Dimension

  • This is designed to implement “Write Back” option
  • Here the data are written back to the data sources.
  • Scenario dimension performs many operations, one among the operation is “WRITEBACK”

Steps:
1.  Create a table in data source (Eg:- PARTY)
2.  Add the table in data source view
3.  Dimensions → new dimension →
use an existing table
Next
Data source view: TexttilesL_DB
Main table: PARTY
Key columns: PARTY ID, PARTYNAME
Attribute Type → other → scenarios
Name: PARTY __ SC → FINISH

Dimension structure

Attributes → PARTY –SC → RC → Properties → Write enabled: true
SAVE, BUILD → DEPLOY

Add row data like below party id party name party loc 4 madhu  hyd
Once you change your mouse location to another row. The row saves in the party table
